Snoop Dogg; R&G: The Masterpiece

Two year after his other masterpiece; Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Bo$$, Snoop is back with yet another great album with his smooth criminal laid back style, this time he has teamed up with The Neptunes for most of the albums while the Alchemist also lend a hand, among a few others.

The number one dog, Mr. Big Dog himself haven't lost his touch even tough he has been busy with his movie career, adult movie franchise (biggest selling adult movie before the Paris movie), and clothing line (he won a best celebrities clothing line award a year ago).

Neptunes and Snoop was a good match on a few tracks on his last album so it is no surprise that they would team up again, and it works once again. Combining the jazzy laid back style of snoop with the progressive Neptunes arrangement makes you listen closer or sometimes just lean back.

It seems like doing other stuff for awhile has done the dog good, cause though it's very much a little bit like a lot of the other songs he made before, there are indeed new elements not usaly heard from snoop dog. He uses different rap styles on different tracks with out ever tripping over – on more then one occasion he stuns you with a phase and speed you never (well at least I never) heard him do before.

This is an album that deserves to be plaid at home, in your car, at the clubs, and about every other place. Check it out you wont regret it. Higlights of rhythm & gangsta; The Masterpiece: Drop It Like It's Hot, Step Yo Game Up, and Perfect.
