Soul Calibur II
POSTED 10 - OCTOBER - 2003 ON NEVARANTA.COM

I love
fighting games and especially the likes of Tekken, Dead or Alive, Virtua
Fighter – so imagine my expectation and anticipation for Soul Calibur II, but
does it live up to it’s hype?
Yes, and
no. A few times in the past I’ve been to put it mildly disappointed when a game
finally arrives- not this time. After playing it for an hour however I’m not
jumping the gun like some of my game reviewing counterparts – it’s a great, but
not “that” great.
Sure the
graphics is smooth and the characters something to itself. It by far the
easiest game to get into, and unlike any other similar game - you have a wide
range of weapons to choose from. But I think it might get a bit boring a little
to fast. Don’t get me wrong tough it’s probably the most fun fighting game to
hit the playstation 2 for a long time, so if you played those others a hundreds
time already it’s a must have. Verdict
8/10
