One of the few hip-hop entrepreneurs to be ranked by Fortune, best known
for his P. Miller clothing line, No Limit record label, and the
producer of many of Snoop Doggs albums, though it has been awhile the
master seems fit to fight and is back in the game with a if not
original still a great album that deserve respect.
Master P has started fresh after some defections from his click, and by
leaving the label he once created he is back with New No Limit Records
distributed trough independent mammoth distributor Koch, rightfully
proclaiming not to be the greatest rapper, but the best hustler.
While his 2004 double album Good Side Bad Side had average material and
felt a bit to long this album shows the Master who defined the
Midwest rap fit to fight. There’s a little bit for everyone,
but maybe most for hardcore rap fans – though there are several
radio / TV friendly joints as well.
Master P retells the story about the mid-west rap legacy and how No Limit
paved way for the recent movement, though he is humble enough to pay
homage to some of those who came before and/or at the same time as
him (Rap-a-lot and others).
7+/10 (best Master P album ever).
