KanYe West: College Dropout
POSTED 30 - APRIL - 2004 NEVARANTA.COM
by my_nick
Might turn
out to be the most mainstream accessible and at the same time one of the best
hiphop album released this year.
Why is that? Well first of all it appeals to
both old and young, hip-hop lovers and none. Proof? My old man never listen to
this rap skit, but I was bumpin the West album in the car when drivin’ him
somewhere and he where like, “yo, son Ya gotta burn a copy of this CD to me” –
of course I went and bought him a copy instead.
Okay, so my
old man likes it, does that mean its to commercial? I don’t think so Kanye have
compiled an album that appeals to a wide demographic and as he spits himself
about “keeping the best track to himself” that might be throuch tough he
produced great tracks for others the last past year.
